Brand Identity Design
A brand that holds together across everything you put it on.
Brand identity is the visual system that represents your business consistently: logo, colour palette, typography, iconography, and the rules for how they all fit together. A strong brand identity makes a business recognisable and communicates something about its character before a word is read.
The logo is only one part of it. A business with a good logo but inconsistent colour use, mismatched fonts, and no visual coherence between its website, printed materials, and social presence does not have a brand - it has a mark. The goal is a system that holds together wherever it appears.
What is included
- Logo design with multiple lockups (primary, stacked, icon only)
- Colour palette with primary, secondary, and neutral values
- Typography selection with hierarchy specifications
- Icon set or supporting graphic elements
- Brand guidelines document covering usage rules
- File exports in all required formats (SVG, PNG, PDF, print-ready)
- Application to key brand touchpoints (website, business card, letterhead)
How it works
Discovery
We establish what the brand needs to communicate, who it is for, and what it should feel like.
Concepts
Initial logo directions are developed and presented. Typically three distinct approaches.
Refinement
The chosen direction is refined based on feedback until it is ready for sign-off.
System build
The full brand system is built around the finalised logo: colour, type, icons, guidelines.
Delivery
Files are packaged and delivered in all formats required, with a brand guidelines PDF.
Why it matters
A brand built on deliberate decisions costs more upfront than a logo knocked together quickly. It saves that cost repeatedly - in not having to redesign because the original does not scale, in not having to brief multiple suppliers on what colours to use, in not having to explain your brand every time someone new needs to apply it.
What you get
- Consistent visual identity across web, print, and signage from day one
- A logo that works at 16px (favicon) and 2m (banner) without redesign
- Brand guidelines that brief printers, suppliers, and social media managers consistently
- Typography and colour system that carries into the website automatically
